Man City Seal Record £1bn Puma Kit Deal

Manchester City have secured a landmark 10-year extension with Puma, in what is now the Premier League's most valuable kit deal at a minimum £1 billion valuation. The new agreement runs through 2035, with City set to receive a record-breaking £100 million annually.
The deal eclipses Manchester United's £90m/year Adidas partnership (signed in 2023) and Liverpool's reported £60m/year agreement with the same manufacturer. This extension comes despite City's first trophy-less season since 2019, a period that saw them win four Premier League titles and a historic Treble.
Commercial Success Story
According to City's latest financial reports:
- Record Premier League revenue of £715m (2023-24)
- Commercial revenue growth to £344.7m
- Global merchandise sales reaching new heights
"We joined forces with Puma to challenge expectations - and we've achieved even more," said City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano. "This partnership has created historic moments while engaging fans worldwide."
Why Puma's Investment Makes Sense
Brand Finance's Hugo Hensley explains the strategic rationale:
Global Appeal: City rank as the world's 6th most-followed club, with 70% of fans purchasing merchandise - matching Real Madrid's impressive conversion rate.
Brand Value Growth: In 2024, City's brand value increased 7% to £1.39bn, second only to Real Madrid and surpassing rivals Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool.
Long-Term Vision: "This investment reflects confidence in City's continued dominance," Hensley notes. "Given current Premier League commercial growth, £100m/year may soon look like a bargain."
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld emphasized the partnership's dual success: "Exceptional trophies, product performance, and commercial results make this collaboration truly special."
